Sally Shuffield brings new vision to country music
Los Angeles, CA – Sally Shuffield could technically be shelved in the country section of a record store but pigeonholing doesn’t do justice to her flair for using a country foundation and crafting a singular blend of blues, folk and soft rock atop it. Her album “Something in the Water” and its title track offer a cocktail of folk roots, bluegrass personality, ballady rock and blues flavors, all grounded in country sensibilities.
The titular single from the album proves that Shuffield’s heart runs deep, with emotive lyrics and rich melodies. The song is laced throughout with passion and reveals a songwriter whose heart is never far from her songwriting pen. Its genuine emotional content and lyrical honesty merge brilliantly with the instrumental melodicism. Shuffield’s voice completes the picture, offering love, heartbreak and hope in one gorgeous vocal performance.
